The killing of the trailer driver and his associate was said to have taken after their refusal to part with a N500 pay off requested by the policemen at a roadblock.

Policemen in Taraba State have killed a trailer driver and his assistant. The murdering of the trailer driver and his colleague was said to have taken after their refusal to part with a N500 pay off requested by the policemen at a barrier.

The barrier was mounted on the Jalingo-Wukari Road. The occurrence happened near Wukari, a skilled source told The Eagle Online.

The men were apparently shot dead on Sunday night.

Taking after the improvement, other trailer drivers are accounted for to have obstructed the street, making it blocked.

Endeavors by agents of the Federal Road Safety Corps to clear the street was said to have been met with hardened

resistance by the trailer drivers on Monday.

A large portion of the trailer drivers are said to be heading towards South East to convey bovines to business sectors in the zone. As at press time on Monday, the policemen were said to have vanished from the scene, leaving a tremendous activity out and about.
